The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) has allowed the central and state-run public sector undertakings (PSUs) to surrender their non-operational coal mines without paying any penalty. The process would be undertaken by means of a one-time window where the PSUs can release their allocated coal mines valid against a period of three months from the date of publication of the approved surrender policy.
