India : Godawari Power and Ispat Receives Consent To Operate Rolling Mill & Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant

Godawari Power and Ispat (GPIL) – one of the largest steel producers based in Central India, recently announced that it has received consent from Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board to operate for Rolling Mill and Iron Ore Beneficiation Plants.

The company via press release informed that Chhattisgarh Environment Conservation Board vide letters dated 16th Jan’20 has granted its consent to the steelmaker to operate Rolling Mill of 4,00,000 MT pa capacity and Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant with 10,00,000 MT pa capacity, under Water (Prevention and Control of Pollution) Act, 1974 and Air (Prevention and Control of Pollution ) Act 1981.

Both these facilities are presently under commissioning and the company expects to start its commercial operations in these facilities during the current quarter.

GPIL is an end-to-end manufacturer of mild steel wires. In the process, the company manufactures iron ore, Sponge Iron, Billets, Ferro alloys, captive power, Wire rods (through subsidiary company), Steel wires, Oxygen gas, fly ash brick as well as pellets.
