Government of Goa has passed an order with immediate effect to revoke temporary suspension of Iron ore mining operations in the state, following its decision to renew Iron ore mining leases. The state government has already renewed 87 mining leases ahead of MMRD Act amendment ordinance issued on 12 Jan, 2015.
Continuance of the order dated 10 Sep’14, which stated suspension of Iron ore mining operations in the state is not required.

This order has been sent to the mining lease holders, District Magistrate Panaji (North) and Margao (South), Goa.
