Kolhapur market sentiment remained stable w-o-w, with foundry plate (4-8 mm) priced unchanged at INR 38,200/t and low Mn CR-busheling steady at INR 42,000/t. Market activity was balanced, with buying largely requirement-based and limited availability of prime-grade scrap keeping prices supported.

Kolkata (East India)

Kolkata saw a mild uptick in sentiment, as foundry plate (4-8 mm) prices rose INR 350/t w-o-w to INR 39,250/t. The increase was supported by an improvement in semi-finished steel prices in the previous session, which helped lend some firmness to local scrap values.

Chennai & Coimbatore (South India)

Coimbatore remained under pressure, with foundry plate (8-50 mm) prices declining INR 400/t to INR 37,600/t, while Low Mn CR-busheling prices also eased by INR 500/t to INR 44,000/t. Weak demand and cautious buying continued to weigh on market sentiment in the region.

Chennai also witnessed soft sentiment, as foundry plate (8-50 mm) prices eased INR 200/t w-o-w to INR 35,800/t, while Low Mn CR-busheling prices declined by INR 300/t to INR 42,200/t.
