Prices of flat steel in domestic market have remained firm from past
few weeks with variety of sentiments prevailing in the market.
Currently the price for commercial grade HRC of size 2.5 MM
stands at Rs 39,700/MT (Ex-Delhi), on the other hand the price offered at Ludhiana
for same grade of material is Rs 40,300/MT (Ex-Ludhiana).
CRC offers on the other hand have remained firm with prices hovering
in the range of Rs 44,500-46,000/MT in various markets.
Speaking on the market scenario an importer as well as an
MOU holder of steel major company said,” Prices for HRC should correct in the
near future as there is very less buying in the current price level”.
However, “the prices should improve with construction
activities and old projects being started again”- said a senior official
associated with flat steel manufacturing firm.
