India: Flat steel exports surge 50%, m-o-m, to 0.84 mnt in Feb’22

India’s flat steel exports rose sharply to 0.84 mnt in Feb’22 compared with 0.56 mnt a month ago, SteelMint data shows. Indian mills were focused on exports during Feb on increased orders from traditional as well as new markets along with higher realisations. SteelMint’s monthly average HRC export index rose to $850/t FOB east coast India in Feb from $736/t in Jan.
