India: Ferrous scrap prices rise on higher trading in semis

Ferrous scrap prices remained supported across markets on 29 Nov’21. In north India prices went up by INR 600/t, following healthy semi-finished steel transactions amidst scarcity of supply, especially in Mandi Gobindgarh. In the western region prices either rose slightly or remained unchanged on usual procurement. In Chennai, however, a minor correction was observed due to lack of trading because of uninterrupted rainfall for the past many days.
