Ferrous scrap prices increased by INR 600/t on 14 Feb’22, especially in the key central Indian market of Raipur following improvement in semi-finished steel prices. However, prices decreased by around INR 100-300/t in the Punjab and Chennai markets due to a slight drop in ingot/billet prices. Meanwhile, prices remained stable in a few markets on regular procurement.
