Melting scrap prices fluctuated across major markets, tracking semi-finished steel movements as well as limited availability, especially in the northern and western regions of the country. Low semi-finished trade volumes – particularly in the second half of the day – in the Gujarat market and the western region in general could weigh on melting scrap prices on a d-o-d basis, SteelMint learnt from trade sources.
