Ferrous scrap prices in the northern region fell by around INR 600/t on 6 Oct’21 following a correction in semi-finished steel prices amid slow demand for finished steel. On the contrary, the western India-based markets remained slightly supported on account of scrap supply. In a few other markets, scrap prices remained stable on the back of average usual procurement, SteelMint notes.
