India: Ferrous scrap imports increase by over 15%, m-o-m, in March

India’s ferrous scrap imports were recorded at 0.34 mnt in Mar’22, up 17% m-o-m from 0.29 mnt in Feb.
The UAE was the largest supplier at 0.12 mnt followed by South Africa and Yemen at 0.04 and 0.02 mnt respectively.
On a year-on-year basis, too, import volumes improved by 13% from 0.3 mnt in Mar’21.
