Shortage of supply during the rainy season has kept ferro silicon prices unchanged, although demand for the material is modest.

In Bhutan, there is steady demand although producers have kept prices unchanged. Reportedly, there is some shortage of supply and producers are predicting that prices may increase in the coming weeks.
Indian producers also keep Ferro Silicon prices firm aided by stable prices in Bhutan.

Indian producers cited that prices have kept steady because demand for ferro silicon in the domestic market is stable and even as there was little in the way of trade movement, Ferro Silicon markets found some hopeful expectations for future price increases as there is scarcity of material in the market.
Market participants are of the view that with supply tightness there is a possibility for Ferro Silicon prices rising.
