Ferro silicon prices continued to remain unchanged, against a background of modest buying interest.
Shortage of material in the market due to the monsoon season has led to rigidity in price levels. “Fundamentally, nothing has changed, it’s just quiet as demand seems pretty much the same,” stated a producer from Bhutan.
SteelMint assessed the price for grade 70-75 at around INR 65,000/MT (Ex-Bhutan).
Domestic ferro silicon prices remained stable M-o-M. Market sources were uncertain about the outlook, as markets showed no signs of change. A Meghalaya producer said “I expect the price of ferro silicon to remain steady in this month, as there is limited but regular demand.”

Sources in the market continue to suggest that prices to be stable in the market and believe that the market condition is unlikely to change in the near future, despite there were still talks of limited supply.
