India: Ferro silicon imports fall by 4% y-o-y in CY22

India’s ferro silicon imports decreased by 4% y-o-y to 226,294 t in CY’22 compared to 235,284 t in CY21, as per Customs data.
The major exporters were Bhutan (107,286), down by 27%, followed by China (70,278 t), Malaysia (13,896 t) and Norway (9,582 t) in CY22.
Monthly import volumes in Dec’22 fell by 19% to 17,165 t against 21,307t in Nov’22.
