The Finance Ministry has blocked the online application system for exporters to gain incentives on exports, under the Merchandise Export from India Scheme (MEIS). Indian Ferro Alloys enjoyed a 2% incentive on exports. The Finance and Commerce department are at loggerheads on this issue and further clarity on the same is awaited.
