India: Ferro Alloy Imports Down by 42% M-o-M

According to the Indian customs, the country witnessed a decrease of 42% M-o-M in its Ferro Alloy imports.

India imported 0.19 MnT in Jan’18 against 0.33 MnT in Dec’17. However, on yearly basis, Indian imports sees an increase of 6% Y-o-Y as it imported 0.19 MnT in Jan’17.

Indian imports consist of Manganese Ore majorly at 0.18 MnT in Jan’18, witnessing a decrease of 42% M-o-M against 0.31 MnT in Dec’17. Chrome Ore imports by India in Jan’18 is 0.01 MnT and witnessed no change.

South Africa remains the largest Ferro Alloy exporter to India at 0.09 MnT in Jan’18 recording a substantial decrease of 55% M-o-M against 0.20 MnT in Dec’17 followed by Australia and Gabon.
