According to the Indian customs, the country has witnessed a marginal decrease of 7% M-o-M in its Ferro Alloy exports.
In May’17, India exported a total of 0.13 MnT Ferro Alloys, against 0.14 MnT in Apr’17. However, on yearly basis, there has been a substantial increase of 44% Y-o-Y in its exports volume which stood at 0.09 MnT in May’16.
Silico Manganese occupied the major volume of India Ferro Alloy exports at 63,660 MT in May’17 registering an increase of 5% M-o-M. Japan was the largest importer of Indian Silico Manganese at 12,094 MT in May’17, recording a massive increase of 59% M-o-M.
Ferro Chrome was the second largest exported Ferro alloy by India at 51,762 MT in May’17, recording a decrease of 24% M-o-M. In May’17, South Korea surpassed China to become the largest importer of Indian Ferro Chrome at 16,214 MT.
A total of 15,372 MT of Ferro Manganese has also been exported in May’17, and UAE remains the largest importer of the same.
