India exports of iron ore in FY’21

India’s total iron ore exports were recorded at 46.40 mn t in FY’21, as per data maintained with SteelMint. Out of which, Paradeep port occupies a remarkable position at 16.26 mn t and remained the country’s premier iron ore exporting port. Visakhapatnam port recorded the second-highest exports at 7.86 mn t, followed by Mormugao and Gopalpur at 6.81 mn t and 6.29 mn t respectively for the fiscal year FY’21. The other major ports were Haldia, Gangavaram, Redi, Dhamra, Kakinada, Krishnapatnam, and Kandla which has recorded approximately 20% of the country’s total iron ore exports.
