Indian Iron ore exports market witnessed some improvement in the beginning of this year in comparison to markets during the end of 2012.
India exported a total of 653,664.78 metric tons (mt) of Iron ore, through sea, in the month of January 2013.
Whereas, in December 2012, the total Iron ore exports figure stood at around 350,000 to 400,000 mt.

China: 4,36,000 Mt

Average exports price for Fe 63.5/63 Iron ore fines stood at $142/MT FOB India.
Total income from Iron ore exports in January 2013 was INR 3455.19 (in million).
