India Exported 1 MnT Iron Ore in Jan’14

India was the 3rd largest exporter of Iron ore till FY 11 and exported around 98 MnT. Iron ore export reduced to 18 MnT in FY13 because of mining ban in some states. India exported 12 MnT of Iron ore till January of FY14.

Rungta Mines was the largest exporter and exported 163,000 MT Iron ore
Paradip port exported 0.5 MnT; down by 10.8% M-o-M
