Export deals for about 14,500 t of sponge iron were concluded for Nepal and Bangladesh this week, amid muted market sentiments.

• Nepal: Sponge iron offers dropped $11/t w-o-w to $364/t CPT Raxaul. Transactions of 2,500 t were recorded, showing limited buying.
• Bangladesh: Sellers reduced offers by up to $19/t to attract interest, with deals concluding at $358-362/t CPT Benapole. Procurement of around 12,000 t was recorded.
