According to the trade sources report to the SteelMint, central India (Raipur) pellet offers have further increased significantly this week. This is the second time in a week that they have raised pellets prices.
Assessment of pellets is at INR 8,000-8,200/MT against last assessment at the beginning of this week at INR 7,600-7,700/MT (basic). The current price levels were last seen at the end of Nov 2014.
One of the major pellet makers in Central India (Ex-Raipur) has reported a deal to be concluded at INR 8,000/MT this week. Following which they have raised offers to INR 8,200/MT (basic).
As per the sources report to SteelMint, few major central India based major pellet makers are not offering in merchant market amid decent bookings made in exports resulting in the material shortage in the market.
P-DRI prices in Raipur have also increased sharply by INR 500/MT to at INR 23,300/MT (basic) compared to INR 22,800 /MT in last assessment.
