Something to cheer for Essel Mining Industries Ltd, a business arm of Aditya Birla group, which is into iron ore mining in the state of Odisha. According to industry sources, Jhilling iron ore mines, one of its high grade mines have re-started production after a long time, which has been shut due to some violation.
“Production and dispatch has started from its Jhilling mines located in Odisha, which has a capacity of around 6- 6.5 million tonnes per annum. This mines is know for high grade iron ore.” said a local source based in Barbil, Odisha.
This will give a relief to steel makers in India, which are under going a severe crisis of iron ore and it will also help iron ore prices to come down in near term, said market participants.
Current offers from its Jhilling Mines are
5-18mm CLO 65% Fe = Rs 7,525/t
5-18mm CLO 63% Fe= Rs 7,075/t
Fines/Blue Dust 63% Fe= Rs 2,275/t
Prices loaded into wagons, including royalty.
