Essel Mining and Industries Limited (EMIL), a company of Aditya Birla Group and one of the prominent miners of Iron ore based in the state of Odisha, has raised Iron ore prices by INR 200/MT.

Market participants said that better demand for Iron ore, coupled with low production and stability in Sponge iron prices during the last fortnight, resulted in an increase of Iron ore offers from Odisha based miners.
Also, decrease in imports of Scrap to India owing to weak Rupee against US Dollar, has supported Sponge iron offers in Odisha, to sustain at previous levels.
