Essel Mining Industries Ltd (EMIL), a company of Aditya Birla group has cut its iron ore lumps prices by Rs 300-400/t (4-5%) according to sources. Although there is no confirmation from the company officials. High grade CLO prices have been cut by Rs 400/t and medium grade by Rs 300/t, iron ore fines prices have been kept unchanged.
Essel mining Iron ore prices for June (Provisional):
5-18 mm CLO Iron ore lumps with Fe% 65 – Rs 7,125/MT
5-18 mm CLO Iron ore lumps with Fe% 63 – Rs 6,775/MT
10-30mm CLO Iron Ore Lums with Fe 63%- Rs 6,025/MT
Iron ore fines with Fe% 63 – Rs 2,275/MT

Iron ore lumps prices have been lowered over weak demand from Sponge iron manufacturers and falling iron pellet prices.
Although Rungta mines ltd, another big miner in Odisha have not confirmed any price change.
