India: ESL Steel to raise long steel prices by INR 1,000/t ($12/t) for early-Oct

ESL Steel Ltd has planned to raise the long steel prices by INR 1,000/t ($12/t) for early-Oct’22 sales owing to improved domestic demand besides cost push, sources informed SteelMint. Post revision, effective prices would be at:

• Rebar (12-32 mm, IS1786): INR 58,000-58,500/t ($710-716/t)
• Wire rod (5.5-6 mm, SAE1008): INR 58,500-59,000/t ($716-722/t)
• Prices are on exy-Delhi, excluding GST at 18%.
