ESL Steel Ltd has raised wire rods (5.5-6mm, SAE 1008) prices by INR 1,000/t ($13/t) for Feb’22 sales, sources informed SteelMint. The current price stands at around INR 60,000-60,500/t ($803-809/t) exy-Delhi basis, excluding GST at 18%.
Cost push coupled with robust order bookings have led to the price hike.
