- Anti-dumping duty on Vietnamese flats boosts sentiment
- Scrap shortages contribute to price rise, but demand muted
ERW patra pipe (41-60 OD) prices in India trended upward this week in both Raipur and Mandi Gobindgarh. Price movements were largely influenced by an increase in raw material prices.
Furthermore, market sentiment was boosted by the declaration of anti-dumping duties on imports of hot-rolled flat products originating in or exported from Vietnam, according to BigMint’s sources.
Another source indicated that “a shortage of scrap in the market has caused a price increase, and these elevated tags are likely to persist in the near term.” However, demand showed mixed trends.
ERW patra pipe prices were at INR 38,400/t in Raipur and INR 41,700/t in Mandi Gobindgarh on 15 November 2025. Listed prices are ex-works (exw), excluding 18% GST.

Outlook
ERW patra pipe prices are likely to remain elevated in the near term, driven by rising raw material costs (patra, billet) and a scrap shortage. Recent price increases in both Raipur and Mandi Gobindgarh, coupled with positive market sentiment from anti-dumping duties, suggest continued upward pressure, despite mixed demand trends.
