ERW patra pipe (41-60 OD) prices showed a downtrend w-o-w in Raipur while those in Mandi Gobindgarh held stable.
In Raipur, prices stood at around INR 44,200/t exw on 9 May 2025, down by INR 500/t from INR 44,700/t on 2 May. Trade volumes of around 2,100t were recorded this week.
In Mandi, prices stayed firm w-o-w on Friday at INR 45,200/t. Trade volumes of around 1,500 t were recorded this week.
Listed prices are ex-works (exw), excluding 18% GST.
On a d-o-d basis, prices fell by INR 100/t in Raipur as well as in Mandi.
The market remained subdued, reflecting overall weak demand.

Market updates
Raw materials prices decline w-o-w: HR strip (patra) prices declined by INR 300/t w-o-w to INR 43,900/t exw-Raipur as on 9 May compared to INR 44,200/t exw-Raipur on 2 May. However, patra prices in Mandi held steady w-o-w at INR 44,200/t exw.
Steel billet prices in Raipur went down by INR 200/t w-o-w to INR 40,100/t exw on 9 May, compared to INR 40,300/t on 2 May. Also, billet prices in Mandi recorded a decline of INR 100/t w-o-w to INR 42,450/t DAP on 9 May, compared to INR 42,550/t last week.
Outlook
ERW patra pipe prices are likely to remain under pressure amid weak demand and softening raw material costs. While Mandi prices are stable for now, muted trade activity and falling input prices may weigh on market sentiment in the coming days.
