- Constrained material availability provides downside support to prices
- Seasonal demand slowdown likely to limit any meaningful price gains
ERW patra pipe prices (41-60 mm OD) increased w-o-w across key regions in the week ended 24 July 2026, supported by higher raw material costs and tighter material availability across major markets.

Weekly price trends
Raipur: ERW patra pipe prices in Raipur increased by INR 400/t w-o-w to INR 44,800/t Exw on 24 July from INR 44,400/t Exw on 17 July. Demand remained largely need-based throughout the week, although market sentiment improved marginally towards the weekend, supported by rising raw material prices and tighter material availability.
A Raipur-based manufacturer stated, “Constrained availability of ready pipe in select sizes, coupled with higher raw material costs, is providing downside support to prices. However, demand remains uneven as the seasonal slowdown continues to weigh on buying activity.”
Mandi Gobindgarh: ERW patra pipe prices in Mandi Gobindgarh increased by INR 300/t w-o-w to INR 47,700/t Exw on 24 July from INR 47,400/t Exw a week earlier. Limited availability of ready HR strip and finished pipe in select sizes kept market supplies tight, enabling mills to maintain higher offers despite trading activity remaining largely confined to immediate requirements.
A Mandi-based source stated, “Constrained availability of ready HR strip and finished pipe in select sizes continues to support the market. Power cuts over the past 10 days, as electricity supply was being prioritised for agricultural use, disrupted production, resulting in order backlogs and tighter material availability that helped maintain prevailing price levels.”

Outlook
ERW patra pipe prices are expected to remain stable to relatively firm in the coming week, supported by elevated raw material costs and constrained availability of HR strip and finished pipe in select sizes. While the monsoon-related slowdown is likely to keep demand largely need-based, supply-side constraints are expected to limit any significant downside in prices. Overall, price direction will largely depend on the pace of demand recovery and trends in raw material prices.
