- Raw material prices fall w-o-w
- Billet prices in Raipur drop INR 850/t w-o-w
ERW patra pipe prices (41–60 OD) declined in the week ended 12 December in both Raipur and Mandi Gobindgarh, as sluggish demand for finished goods kept buying activity soft. This weekly softness persisted despite firm demand in the raw material segment.
The overall weakness in both regions is largely driven by weak demand and need-based procurement in the market.
On a d-o-d basis as well, prices continued to decline, with Raipur prices dropping by INR 100/t d-o-d to INR 39,000/t exw-Raipur from INR 39,100/t on 11 December 2025 and Mandi Gobindgarh prices falling by INR 200/t d-o-d to INR 41,300/t Exw-Mandi Gobindgarh on 12 December against INR 41,500/t a day ago. Listed prices are ex-works (exw), excluding 18% GST.
Weekly prices:
Raipur: Prices fell by INR 500/t w-o-w to INR 39,000/t exw-Raipur on 12 December, down from INR 39,500/t a week ago. Despite of this downtrend in the prices, trade activities in the region remained slow due to slow demand from the finished segment.
Mandi: Prices slipped by INR 1,000/t w-o-w to INR 41,300/t Exw-Mandi Gobindgarh, compared with INR 42,300/t on 5 December 2025 last week. The recorded trade activities in the region were low for the week as market participants did need based buying.
Raw materials prices:
HR strip (patra): HR strip (patra) prices in Raipur dropped by INR 500/t w-o-w to INR 38,500/t Exw-Raipur down from INR 39,000/t on 5 December 2025. Furthermore, patra prices in Mandi decreased by INR 1,000/t w-o-w to INR 40,300/t Exw-Mandi Gobindgarh on 12 December 2025 as compared with INR 41,300/t a week ago.

Billet: Billet prices in Raipur declined by INR 850/t w-o-w to INR 36,150/t Exw-Raipur on 12 December 2025, down from INR 37,000/t the previous week. Moreover, prices in Mandi Gobindgarh stood at INR 39,750/t Exw-Mandi Gobindgarh, fell by INR 1,000/t w-o-w compared with INR 40,750/t on 5 December 2025.
Outlook
ERW patra pipe prices are likely to remain volatile in December, as weak finished goods demand and need-based buying continue to weigh on the market. Raw material costs have edged slightly lower, as seen in the recent declines in HR strip and billet prices. Unless end-user demand improves, moreover, prices in both Raipur and Mandi Gobindgarh are expected to remain under-pressure.
