India: Entire 180,000 t booked in NMDC Karnataka’s iron ore auctions; lumps fetch premiums

NMDC Karnataka’s iron ore auctions saw the entire 180,000 t offered booked. Lumps fetched premiums of up to INR 525/t.

• Kumaraswamy (9 Jul): 64,000-t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 57.46-62.68%) booked at INR 3,855-5,517/t against base price INR 3,556-4,992/t; 92,000-t fines (Fe 57.8-58.85%) booked at INR 3,092-3,329/t.
• Donimalai (8 Jul): 16,000-t lumps (10-40 mm, Fe 56%) and 8,000-t fines (Fe 56%) sold at INR 3,480/t and INR 2,842/t.

Prices include royalty, DMF, & NMET.
