Electrosteel Steels, an integrated steel plant located in Bokaro (Jharkhand), eastern India, has concluded a tender for 1,500 t steel grade pig iron at around INR 35,900-36,100/t exw. Also, the company sold a mix of foundry grade pig iron at INR 37,700-38,100/t exw, sources reported to SteelMint. The previous auction in Dec for the steel grade material was settled at INR 34,500-34,700/t exw. Another basic grade pig iron auction is scheduled tomorrow (06 Jan ’21) by SAIL from its Bokaro Steel Plant for 8,550 t (2,850 t x 3 rakes).
