Coal India subsidiary, Eastern Coalfields Ltd (ECL), had conducted auctions for a total of 0.35 mnt of coal in October so far. While the entire quantity was booked, bid premium rose up to 280% over the notified price. The average price realisation in the auctions was more than INR 12000/t. In September, bid premium was 236% over the notified price.
