BigMint’s weekly price assessment dropped by $5 per ton to $348/t CPT Nepal (FeM 80%, 70% lumps, and 30% fines). Four rakes (10,300 t) sponge iron were sold at $320-325/t, loaded to wagons in east India, equivalent to $345-350/t CPT Nepal. Moreover, sources reported 7,500 t of PDRI (78-79% FeM) for Nepal by road at $290-292/t ex-mill in east India. Furthermore, approximately 4,500 t of sponge iron were sold to Bangladesh at around $360/t CPT Benapole.
