Melting scrap prices in Gujarat’s Alang market inched down further by INR 200/t, as per sources. Heavy melting scrap (HMS 80:20) is assessed at INR 40,100-40,200/t, while attachment scrap prices stand at INR 41,100-41,200/t. However, the correction in semi-finished steel prices yesterday was not reflected parallelly in scrap offers, SteelMint notes.
