Domestic non-coking coal prices increased by INR 50/t w-o-w, as per BigMint’s assessment. 4,500 GCV rose to INR 4,950/t, while 5,000 GCV increased to INR 6,000/t exw Bilaspur. Sellers slightly raised offers supported by higher sponge iron prices and the sharp rise in imported coal prices. However, domestic coal prices remained largely stable, as most consumers who were reliant on imported coal continued to source overseas-origin material for operational requirements.
