In a notice issued by the Department Of Commerce on 14 Jan’22, the Director-General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) has allowed imports of metallic waste and scrap from six safe countries without Pre-shipment Inspection Certificate (PSIC) via 10 designated ports. Also, the DGFT has added Hazira Port and Kamarajar Port to the list of designated ports.
