Sudden demand from North India’s market has pushed up heavy Structure prices by INR 300/MT in Raipur.
Structure prices in Raipur increased by INR 300/MT as the demand improved. Demand is majorly from Ghaziabad & Ahmedabad. A Raipur based well-known manufacturer confirmed that they received booking from Ghaziabad.
He also said, “Few of the projects recently started in Ghaziabad & Ahmedabad, and because of low availability of material in local markets, buyers are moving towards Raipur. Price improvement in Ghaziabad market supports the price hike of Raipur as well.”
Structure prices in Ghaziabad moved up by INR 400/MT in last 2 days. Meanwhile, Structure offers in Mumbai marginally up by INR 100/MT, however in Ahmadabad it remain unchanged.
A native manufacturer of Ghaziabad said, “During the monsoon, only light Structure manufacturers are producing material on regular basis, while heavy Structural production has slowed down. This led to price rise when demand increases suddenly.”
Buying has decreased in Durgapur and from nearby states. But, stability in Ingot & Billet prices holds offer at the same level.
As the monsoon begins Structural demand has slowed down in most of the major markets on account of slow construction activities.
