SAIL’s Bhilai Steel Plant auctioned 1,207 tonnes (t) of crude coal tar on 3 Jan’26, with the entire volume successfully sold at a weighted average price of INR 42,531/t ex-works. This reflects an increase of approximately INR 2,000/t compared to the previous auction on 22 Dec’25 due to improved buyer participation and firm downstream demand which supported stronger bidding.
