Cold rolled close annealed (CRCA) scrap prices vary in the range of INR 500-600/t in north and south India, whereas prices are at existing levels in the western region. Bids placed by induction furnace mills based in the south are at a variance of INR 500-700/t amidst disparity among trade participants. However, the scrap-to-billet margin is quite satisfactory in the Chennai market, sources reported.
