CRC scrap prices inched higher in major scrap-based markets on 10 Sept’21. Prevailing CRC sheet cutting scrap offers are assessed at INR 40,300-40,700/t at Mandi Gobindgarh. Prices are at INR 37,000-37,500/t in Chennai (for bundled material) and at INR 37,700-38,100/t (loose/bundled material) in Maharashtra’s Jalna. Turning scrap offers are reported at INR 32,800-33,100/t and INR 32,000-32,400/t in Jalna and Chennai, respectively, on a DAP basis, excluding GST, market participants informed.
