CRC scrap prices remained rangebound across major scrap-based markets on 23 Aug’21. Prevailing CRC sheet cutting scrap offers are assessed at INR 39,800-40,100/t at Mandi Gobindhgarh. Prices are at INR 36,900-37,200/t in Chennai and INR 37,400-37,700/t in Jalna, on DAP basis, excluding GST. Trade participants expect that prices should get corrected as most buyers have restricted buying amid uncertainty with raw material prices constantly moving down.
