NMDC Steel Plant auctioned 10,000 t of steel-grade pig iron on 21 Mar’26 in which 8,000 t was booked at an average price of INR 35,800/t. Prices declined by INR 200/t from the 13 March auction in which 5,000 t was sold out of 15,000 t at an average of INR 36,000/t, indicating a softening in prices.
