International Met coke prices deepening has provoked Indian buyers to procure Coke from overseas market in view of cost efficiency and following same Indian Met coke imports spring up by around 29% in first 4 months (Jan-Apr ’14).
Yearly imports of Met coke till April, 2014 have reached to 1.52 MnT from 1.17 MnT of last year’s same period.
SteelMint has noted the major Coke imports at Mangalore (0.27 MnT), Paradip (0.27 MnT), Haldia (0.22 MnT), Hazira (0.20 MnT), Mumbai (0.19 MnT) and others.
