The Punjab Authority of Advance Ruling (AAR) has held that from now on, coal rejects will be taxable at 5% GST. The observation came after Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd, filed an application with regard to the taxability of coal rejects. Coal rejects are basically the leftover after coal washing or beneficiation process.
