India: Coal prices in Wani, Maharashtra fall marginally on sluggish demand

Coal prices in the trader’s market in Wani, Maharashtra, fell today, as per CoalMint assessment. 4000 GCV run of mine (ROM) coal was heard offered at INR 12,900/t, down INR 300/t w-o-w. Prices fell amid sluggish demand from the core coal-consuming sectors. Low volumes offered at Western Coalfields Ltd. (WCL) auction kept coal prices firm leading to a drop in trades as buyers entered a wait-and-watch mode.
