India’s coal ministry has set a target of 1 bnt of coal output for FY24. Outlining its plan, the ministry has informed that it has fixed 780 mnt of production target for Coal India Ltd, 75 mnt for Singareni Collieries Company Ltd and 162 mnt for captive and commercial mines. Production target for the ongoing fiscal (FY23) is 911 mnt.
