India: Coal Ministry prepares for 10th round of commercial auctions

The 10th round of coal block auctions is set to offer approximately 62 blocks without restrictions on end users. Successful bidders will have the freedom to sell coal produced from these blocks in the open market. Since its launch the Ministry of Coal has conducted 9 rounds of successful auctions, resulting in the allocation of 107 coal blocks. Currently, 11 commercial coal blocks are operational.
