The Ministry of Coal (MoC) is estimating coal production of 138.28 mnt from 58 new blocks which will commence operation in FY23. The ministry has informed that the companies acquiring these blocks have been issued a show cause notice upon delay in development. The production target for all the allocated coal blocks is 203.67 mnt for this fiscal.
